Gurunathar’s Divine Message ~ Moolam Pooja ~ 01-04-2005
With the increasing heat of the sun, it is a time for increased sweating and discomfort. Even in this, I feel there is a lesson to be learnt. Primarily at such a hot humid time, we intensely desire a cool breeze; similarly, there should be an intense desire to see God. As this desire increases, God will manifest Himself in front of you. If our strongest desire is matched by our desire to see God, there is no possibility of His not responding. (He must come).
It has always been my wish that the name of Lord Shiva be worshiped increasingly and incessantly. If the Thirumandiram proves to be an instrument for this I shall be happy. If more people do the same I shall be very happy. This is my message for today.
“Do one job but do it well”, similarly be single minded in your devotion. You must intensify your desire to see God. Just the way we experience an intense desire to quench our thirst with water in these hot summer months, so must we desire to realize God. He will appear in front of you and grant you all the blessings.
